Why
netSCOPE? netSCOPE provides child care centers with a great marketing tool. Giving parents on-line acces to their children makes your center more competitive, improves your ability to retain students and grow enrollment. By employing netSCOPE, your center signals that it is confident in its own value. Installing netSCOPE sends a powerful message about the quality of your teachers, staff and programming. As a center owner or operator you can be in two or more places at once. You can view your diverse operations anytime from anywhere to see how well your directors, staff and suppliers are working. netSCOPE's hardware and software package are free to all child care centers. You pay only monthly connectivity and maintenance charges. You donŐt end up owning thousands of dollars worth of outdated computer equipment. Other child care monitoring programs want to sell you their equipment. Laying out thousands of dollars at once or in monthly installments erodes a center's profit base. Centers are forced to defer this cost by raising fees for all parents, whether or not they choose to utilize the service. netSCOPE only sells subscriptions to parents who want to use the service. They may sign-up or cancel their subscription on-line at no consequence to you. The right to privacy of parents and children is our first concern. We never ask for a list of parents enrolled at the center. However, we need to make parents aware of our subscription-based service. We hope to occupy a small public space at your facility to demonstrate our system and provide take-away literature to parents. netSCOPE's founders have a child in child care. We understand privacy issues, child care and parental concerns.
How
It Works: Cameras grab a color image every second. These images are transmitted to an on-site computer and then sent to netSCOPE's website for viewing. Parents are charged a monthly access fee billed to their credit cards. Only a parent's chosen, encrypted password can access their camera views. The center nor anyone else knows a parent's password. Parents and one other immediate family member may be authorized to view the images from any computer linked to the Internet. All they need is a password, Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0. Relatives can start their own account--but only with a parent's authorization. Before sign-up is approved, a child care administrator must e-mail confirmation to netSCOPE of a parents enrollment status. No account is approved without a child care administratorŐs authorization. Parents pay only an extra $5 for each additional child enrolled at the same center. What
Parents See: Lenses are a fixed focal length and cannot focus on any one child, nor do they focus on bathroom or changing areas. There is no sound transmission. They simply view the room. You can watch for as long and as often as you like. An unlimited number of parents can access the same camera simultaneously. As
a Childcare Center Operator, Equipment
includes:
Computer operation is not required on the part of the staff. All maintenance and upgrades are handled by netSCOPE.
